Hi all!

Spain Team Prayer Item – Pedro is taken to hospital

Christmas travel was great!
Our family had a GREAT Christmas vacation, spending a good part of the time with my family in Manitoba, and then topping it off with a January 6 “Three Kings Day” celebration back in Guelph with Karen’s family. Family and Canadian friends are what we miss the most during our time in Spain. This year has been a special opportunity to catch up on what we’ve missed!

Travel plans ahead
On Thursday, January 31, I leave for Western Canada to participate in the Missionfest Manitoba conference. After the conference I travel on to Alberta and British Columbia to visit Bible Colleges on behalf of World Team Canada, and to visit individuals and churches that form part of our support base. Please pray for openness on my part to follow God’s guidance in each interaction. Please pray for Karen and the girls as they “hold the fort” back in Guelph!

Karen’s birthday celebration
If you live in South-Western Ontario (or are visiting the area!!), you are cordially invited to Karen’s birthday celebrations, to be held February 15 (her actual birthdate!), from 7pm to 10pm, (a come and go, greet and meet event) at the Ben residence on 279 Faraday Court in Waterloo Ontario. See this link for a map 279 Faraday Court. Cake and Ice-cream, and Michael Ben’s specially roasted coffee, will be served! Come to say hi and wish Karen a happy birthday (or sympathize with her as we grieve the passing years for all of us!!) whether you can stay for 5 minutes or the entire time! We look forward to this opportunity just to hang out together!

Spain Team prayer item
I’m including a prayer item from one of our team-mates in Spain. This item relates to a member of the Béjar church, located in Western Spain, near Salamanca. Craig and Ada Cook serve there on behalf of World Team. Craig writes…
"Pedro, a policeman (and church member), was sped away in the ambulance a little while ago for emergency surgery in Salamanca. They think he has a perforated stomach."

Thanks for your prayers! Lord, teach us to pray!

Many blessings
Jacob Ginter
