We just finished a very cool May long weekend here in Ontario! Even the little goslings we saw in the park today looked chilly!
Dad Ginter – doing well
Prayer Conference – 8 attendees enjoyed a great time of prayer and learning
Heart and Stroke - $855.00 raised!
Personal Learning – we are growing in unity and mutual understanding!
Thanks for your prayers for dad. His health is improving quite well. This weekend mom and dad experienced sadness at the passing of a good friend, and co-laborer in the ministry, Mr. C.G. Peters. Dad and Mr. Peters served together for many years in the pastoral ministry at our home church, Silberfeld CMC. Our condolences go out to the extended Peters family and the conference.
I’ll have more info on this next week, but I just wanted to say that I’ve heard good things about this year’s experience. It’s the first Prayer Conference we’ve missed in Spain, and, well, I really missed it! One of the conference participants wrote, “…what a wonderful week. Thank you all for sharing from your hearts and for allowing us to be a part of your life and ministry during the prayer conference. God is doing great things on your field of service and I expect He has even greater plans for you and for Spain.”
Heart and Stroke – Jump for Heart
Thanks to some good effort on the part of Megan and Carly, and a good deal of generosity on the part of family and friends they called, Megan and Carly were able to raise $855.00 for the Heart and Stroke foundation! They set a goal of $400.00 and more than doubled that! Way to go girls!!!
Karen and I have set aside the month of May for some concentrated efforts at deepening our understanding of ourselves and each other. While other normal life activities continue, we are carving out specific hours to discuss what we’re learning and to seek God for greater unity and wisdom in our focused ministry pursuits within that which God has given us through World Team in Spain. We’d ask you to be in prayer about this.
