Myths About Missions
"Missions are not really necessary. If God wants the pagans saved, He will do it without our help.
Fact: God works through human instrumentality no matter how flawed we are."
(taken from article "Myths about Missions" by Harold J. Sala)
In the great wisdom and sovereignty of God, He chose to work through His church (that's us folks!) to announce the glorious message of Salvation through Jesus. Spoken on an individual level, the above has truth in it. However, on a universal level, God WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH, and He's involving us in the process.
If you had to name two (2) factors hindering you from "going into all the world to preach the Gospel" - what would they be? Who could you dialogue with about that?
Dear Praying Friends
“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds…” (Hebrews 10.23, 24 TNIV)
We have a hope. Jesus! He is our hope of glory. Because of Him we CAN love, we CAN do good deeds! He is awesome!
- Follow up on conversations initiated during my time in Manitoba – These conversations have gone well.
- Preparation for Evangelism Seminar at Guelph Bible Chapel – The seminar went very well. Part 2 is planned for September
- Missions Emphasis Sunday at Bayfair Baptist – Bill Allan, Joe Nesci, and I were there. Very uplifting, good connections!
- Gospel Coalition Conference @ Heritage Bible College – I will be at the conference Tuesday to Thursday
I continue to pray, “Lord of the Harvest, Send more Workers!” Thanks again for praying with me!
