Prayer Conference 2006
A group of 6 people joined our team for a week of learning and prayer, June 10-17. Conference participants learned about ministry in Spain, visiting sites such as Kilometro Cero ( - English Version), Decision (www.e-decisió - English, check out "The Challenge of Spain") and hearing first-hand how God is using His people to extend His kingdom in Spain. This annual event promises to grow into a very special part of our year, as we learn how to meet God and grow in our prayer focus. Please pray for the Prayer Conference 2007 Task Force as they work through the evaluations of this year's event and begin preparations for next year. I'd invite you to consider joining us in 2007!

BasketBall Clinic
Karen and I have worked with Young Life Spain staff (Jim and Barbara McNamee) to organize a BasketBall Clinic for Pozuelo this year. The clinic runs from June 26-30. 15 young children and 14 youth registered for this event. The coaches arrived on Saturday, somewhat jetlagged after a long flight from Tennessee which included an 11 hour layover in Philadelphia! Please pray that we'd have opportunities to visit some of these children in their homes and share what God has done in our lives with entire families. Pray also for the energy levels of the coaches, and of those of us who planned the event. Temperatures promise to be 30ºC and more, so we'll definitely be warm!

Team Growth Possibilities
With the development of our 10 Year Vision Document, there's an element relating to the need for more workers in Spain. At this point we have received confirmation that a couple (Mark and Janet Cockrum) plans to be joining our team as early as January or February of next year! We are also in dialogue with 2 other couples who are considering Spain as a possible ministry location. Please be in prayer for the Cockrums as they move through the necessary stages in their preparation. Pray also that God would raise up more workers, missionaries and national workers, to serve in the fields of Spain.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and to pray. I realize we are all involved in many activities. It's an encouragement to us to know that people are praying for us and that God's will IS being done. "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." (Ephesians 2.10 NLT)

Jacob Ginter (for the entire family)
