Dear Praying Friends
Thanks SO MUCH for your prayers! We have experienced so many blessings over the past weeks. Although I completed the project at the training centre with a very tired body, I was refreshed in my spirit to see God at work in the lives of so many people.
The Training Centre Painting project is completed! 13 Canadians joined us for a week of painting, and did an EXCELLENT job! Besides the painting, they did a street drama at KM 0 in Madrid, and in the Principe de Paz church. One of the girls shared her testimony on the street in Madrid, and Carly did the translating. Wow, I was impressed! We also helped clean up after a church camp. The workers there looked tired, and were glad for the extra hands! One of the highlights for me this week has been the daily devotionals we had together, and the sharing times in the evenings. At least 2 of these young people expressed an interest in longer term service in cross-cultural missions. That´s exciting!
Carly is safely in Canada. Her uncle and grandmother paid for her to spend a month in Ontario. She´ll be seeing friends and family, going to bible camp, serving at the GBC Oasis camp (VBS), and then some more visiting. She´ll be done before she knows it! But, we´ll miss her in the meantime!
Spain Team Internship 2010 has finished. Karen´s time in France, for the intern debrief, went very well. We had such quality interns this year. Plans are underway for 2011. We will only be accepting 3 or 4 interns, so anyone interested needs to "get busy!" Thanks for your prayers as these people joined us to see what God may have in store for them in the future. We continue to pray that God raise up more workers for His harvest in Spain. Please pray with us!
Thanks again for your prayers! The next 2 weeks will allow me to catch up on some admin, as well as begin preparation for our Fall schedule. One prayer item – that I´ll stay focused! It´s sunny, it´s hot, and our 2 weeks of vacation are only 2 weeks away!
Thanks for praying!
P.S. I added a few pieces of art work, done by Rubén and Samuel, the 2 sons of Chema and Sandra. Chema is one of the regular "How to Study the Bible" students at the course Jorge and I offer in Calatayud. I thought these were great, and wanted to share them with you!
