Praise God for Journey's mercies!
1 Month left in Canada for our family
Bible studies start up in Pozuelo
We appreciate your prayers as we have spent the last month travelling to Western Canada and back. Apart from a few interesting motorist activities, the trip went very smoothly. We have been amazed at how our girls have been able to latch onto new friends at the various places we have visited. Many new relationships have started! Megan and Carly also used their time well in the van to read and play. Aside from the unsettled part of being in so many different homes and beds, our family has really enjoyed this trip!
A highlight for our family this August was being able to spend time with Karen's sister's family (and her brother too, who flew out to join us!) in the Vancouver area. It was good to spend time with family. The common statement, from our side and from our relative's side, "Wow, the children have changed!"
We now have approximately 2 weeks remaining in Manitoba. Karen and I are looking forward to spending some time together, just us, the first week of September. Actually, the girls are excited to have a week away at cousin's homes! September 13 we leave to return to Ontario. Then it's two more weeks and we're back in Spain!
I just received a few emails from our small group in Spain. They continued their Bible Studies through to the end of July, and expect to start up again in September. Please pray especially for Dani and Jessica, as they provide leadership and take initiative in this. I've been so encouraged by their willingness to step out.
Last month's Prayer items.
1. Journey's mercies as we travel (Approximately 5,500 km round trip)
7500km, actually!! We experienced safety each kilometer!
2. Continued joy in meeting with ongoing and new supporters
Thanks for praying. We were able to touch base with many supporters, and have received indication of new support as well.
3. Clarity as we interact with people interested in missions opportunities
This continues to be an ongoing request.
This Month's Prayer Items
1. Refreshment for Karen and myself during our time together
2. A sense of closure as we finish off our visits and church reports in Manitoba
3. For Dani and Jessica, and the small group in Pozuelo as they start up the Bible Study this fall.
Thanks again for your prayers...
