Thanks so much for your prayers! We appreciate your partnership with us in this way! Thanks also for taking the time to read these journal entries!
Fall 2010 Team Retreat – These times together are a great time of learning and growing! We celebrated our advancement as a team, enjoyed fun and games, and learned about areas we need to grow in. Although separated by many miles in our day-to-day ministry life, it's obvious we like to be together! "They will know you are my disciples by your love for one another."
Ongoing ministry visits – I´m excited to say that the groups in Calatayud and Zaragoza continue to develop. That's so encouraging! The "How to Study the Bible" seminar is going well, and the small group in Zaragoza has really developed in the area of praise and worship. It's a privilege to be part of this!
A Praying Life by Paul Miller – I recommend this as a great book! As I apply the "prayer card" idea in my life, and also consider ways to pray for my family and team based on scriptural truth, God works on my heart. This is good stuff!
Hit with a virus… Carly was down during the last week, and now Megan and Karen have been hit. Fall is always a time of instability in our home as we battle the various viruses that get around. It can be discouraging, and also a little hectic as we seek to balance life during this time. Thanks for your prayers in these little mundane, but impactful, details of our lives.
Travels… I (Jacob) am preparing for a trip to Málaga. I leave tomorrow. One of the new groups (CRM) that our organization has sponsored to serve in Spain is setting up in Málaga... . This trip allows me to report back to the team on developments there, as this new team develops and ministers in their God-given capacities.
Thanks again for your prayers. One of the areas I've noticed over and over in my life is the need to remember what I all have in Christ. Part of this is remembering my sonship, and how this frees me to be all Christ made me to be. We so appreciate your participation through prayer as we share God's good news with people here, and lead people to move more and more in line with what God is doing in this world.
